  • Best Website Design Software?

Posted by admin on February 8th, 2010 and filed under photography web templates | 4 Comments »

    Hi, there!

My fiance and I own a new photography business and are tired of using MySpace as our home page, so I bought a domain name and am trying to make a website. I am fairly good with HTML, but I want a site builder that is easy to use so that she could update it on her own.

I am looking to buy a program that allows you to create the site using visuals rather than HTML text, you know? Like FrontPage, I guess–that gives you the code while you alter your site.

I would also the program to have some templates to help us work with. Our website is www.cc-kc.com, and right now we have a free flash template that we’ve been using, but it sucks. Please go check it out to kind of see what we’re working with.

The more prefessional and fun the website, the better. Please let me know what you think is the best for what we need it for! Nothing too complicated, just something we both can use that will give us web site freedom.

    Thank you!!

Try Microsoft Expression Web or Adobe/Macromedia Dreamweaver. These are the standards in the web design world.

I’ve always preferred using hard code to design a site, and what not, but if you wanna go the easier way, try something like Macromedia. Or better yet, macromedia 8. And give Photoshop, Adobe Photoshop a look.

Find a PHP / MySQL enabled Web host, and use Menalto’s Gallery.

There is actually no shortcuts to what you want to do. From my understanding of what you are trying to say seems like you will need a Content Management System (CMS) for your website. A CMS allows you or any authorized person to make instantaneous updates to your website. But the problem with this is that you will need program it using a programming language such as php, asp, etc.
