Here is a great little effect that adds a whole lot of “mood” to an image by softening and increasing contrast and also features a vignette around the focal point of your choosing. The beauty of this technique is that by using adjustment layers we have full control over the final effect’s strength and color. This one is a great tip for Photographers of any type.

Not sure why there so many comments saying “too fast.” If you’re familiar with Photoshop, it is pretty clear.
Good tutorial overall. I think I like the technique more than the actual finished product though.

use elliptical …
use elliptical marquee tool to select the face. then press “Ctrl+Shift+I” which basically selects inverse.

Two things that …
Two things that can’t really be fixed…exposure and focus. If your photo is blurry, there’s not a lot of hope for it. Even in pshop, unsharp masking cannot even recover a fuzzy pic. Sorry!

rightclic the layer you want to duplicate and find the duplicate layer option on the list appearing… or you could just drag the layer you want to duplicate on to the little new layer icon down right corner of the layers box and drop on that icon.
