I’m trying to build an online store .I have picture files and text descriptions in different files. How do I combine the two to prepare a page or column of items?
I would suggest either using microsoft publisher or a program called frontpage. I am doing the same process right now and asked the opinion of my cousin who is certified in microsoft systems. he said that either program is fine, but that the frontpage soft ware has an added bonus of developing the "code" needed for publishing. hope that this helps & good luck.

for a file on a mac to be shown in safari, you have to name the file something.html, not just something!
Just rename it in the finder.

So I got a great domain name. Now what??? I want to use a template to help me create my web page. I’m not sure where to find one. I found some that you download in a zip file, but I can’t find an HTML to copy and paste….
I have a web host. I don’t like any of the layouts that it offers. I need a template!
you should learn XHTML and CSS…then code to your hearts content…also you probably need to find a web hosting company
Does anybody know where I can find free website templates?? I had a really good website with free templates bookmarked awhile back, but I lost it.
Thanks

Today I made a web page template using Gimp Shop. It looks really cool, but I would like to re-design it some. My problem is that I don’t know what to save it as so that I can open it in Frontpage.
You don’t save it as anything. You have to splice it (which basically means cutting it up into small jpeg files.
Now there are some parts that repeat, instead of taking the whole chunk you take only a small slice of the entire repeating part, then use code to make the image repeat.

I do not want to pay dollars for web page templates. I am using Windows XP and will use dreamweaver for editing and inserting images etc.
Hi! If you want to have a look at my template which I sourced from FREEWEBS.com then goto http://www.freewebs.com/kyles68/index.htm and have a look around at my site called The Kackles Korner. FREEWEBS offers quite a few different templates that are free. You could also have a look at the webpage ‘home based business’ for other weblinks to webhosting sites. Hope that helps you.
