    Website Template questions/help needed?

    Posted by admin on March 9th, 2010 and filed under photo website templates | 2 Comments »

    We bought a website, adobe photo shop / adobe flash 8 .

    How do we edit it ? What software would be required for this ?

    Any idea where we could find someone to assist ? Not sure where to post for help ? Craigslist ?

    Where do folks look for misc. jobs such as this ?
    Yes, we just purchased it. It will need to be edited right now , to add contact information, the built in form needs to get directed / routed to our email address. we need a couple paragraphs of text inserted into the about us portion. maybe another form added. i need a blank page added to it , that will be used for future growth. this is part I of project.

    future project II will be to build a shopping cart .

    My email is

    Chancemybowser@yahoo.com

    if anyone has additional questions or by "chance" might be interested in helping out.

    did u just purchsed a template? what kind of changes you want to make to it? One time or you need regular support on it? You need to be clear about what u need before u go hunting.

    Is it possible to build a new website without tables?

    Posted by admin on March 7th, 2010 and filed under photo website templates | 4 Comments »

    I want to quickly build a simple website from scratch in Dreamweaver without templates or predesigned pages.

    I need to create a top banner, left navigation menu, content, and a few small photos.

    As basic as possible: no layers, frames, CSS, etc.

    Do I still need a table(s)?

    Yes… in fact.. the conventional wisdom of today is that using tables for layout is A Bad Thing(tm).

    Is it possible to do all these things without tables. The best way is to use CSS, even if it means using simple inline "style" attributes.

    I know that you said "No CSS", but simple CSS is not difficult and using them in style attributes is the easiest (if not the best) way of doing CSS. It will make your job a lot easier.

    Embedded flash video in flash photo gallery website?

    Posted by admin on March 3rd, 2010 and filed under photo website templates | 1 Comment »

    I want a template like this, but I need to know a way of adding a video instead of a picture in the "Portfolio" page. So on the left hand side there would be the thumbs, and when you click on it, it would bring up the video and start playing.

    Sources Available:.FLA;.SWF; .PSD;.PHP;.XML;No html version is included

    Software Required:
    Adobe Photoshop CS+;
    Adobe Flash 8+;
    PHP 4.4+;

    You can directly use Moyea Web Player – http://www.playerdiy.com/
    It is a pretty good program for adding flash video to web page and create custom Flash video player with scrollable thumbnail playlist for website.
    This is tutorial – http://www.playerdiy.com/support/tutorial/customize-flash-video-player.html

    Is there a content management system for websites that I can embed into my website template ?

    Posted by admin on March 1st, 2010 and filed under photo website templates | 3 Comments »

    I want upload a lot of photos (product catalog). Pictures only. There about 200 images to be upload to client website which I am doing in html. I’m wondering is there a way where I can make maintenance easier. Client has low budget, so looking for low budget solution. Now I’m doing things manually. Taking up alot of time.

    Hello

    Try Joomla! a free, open source CMS. You can write your own templates using their tutorial and site maintenance is also easy :) . You can also enhance your website using extensions most of which are free. Links are given below.

    Hope this helps.
